People Team Theme
Each year NerdWallet’s People Team sets the tone for internal comms with a new theme and concept to guide employees for the year ahead.
2025’s theme is a light-hearted call back to the beloved Star Trek greeting “Live long and prosper.” Combined with the unexpected whimsy and plant themes in the design, it takes on a fresh new meaning, evoking evolution while also showing we’re proud of our Nerdy roots.
I created a set of email headers, Zoom backgrounds, and an All Hands deck template. I handed it all off in a Canva brand kit so the People Team could create assets as they needed them throughout the year.

The Innovate pillar is all about company growth — delving into new, exciting spaces as teams big and small. From Kickoff Week to My Nerdy Impact, these events challenge us to strategize, evaluate, and plan for the future of NerdWallet together., because two Nerd brains are better than one. And over 700 Nerd brains? The possibilities are endless.
Cultivate

The Cultivate pillar is all about personal growth. It’s about nurturing your mind, body, and spirit. From Wellness Week to Mental Health Days, these events remind us of the importance of our own wellbeing, and how taking care of ourselves will lead to a better personal and professional life. After all, when we show up first for ourselves, we can show up even better and nerdier for the team.

The Connect events are all about community growth, and fostering love and belonging amongst our fellow Nerds. From Learning & Activism Days to holiday celebrations, these events are reminders that generosity and gratitude can be contagious, and that the power Nerds have for good is truly exponential.
